Packing Tips
There are so many things to remember to bring when embarking on a vacation.
If you forget anything, odds are that you won't have it until you get
home. Most general things can be purchased if traveling in your own
country, but if you are traveling internationally, the country you are
in might not have the exact product you desire.
One of the most important things to remember to bring is any prescription
medication that you are taking or might possibly need. Also, you should
bring more than enough in case of loss, theft, breakage or spillage.
It would also be smart to bring with you a note from your doctor with
a medical diagnosis for a chronic condition as well as medications and
dosages prescribed. Also, don't forget your multivitamins. Why get out
of the habit?
I am a girl who wears contacts. Nothing can ruin a trip more than losing
one or both of them. I want to see where I am visiting! I always bring
a few extras (I wear disposable lenses). It is probably best to bring
extra contact solution and eyeglasses.
Especially if you are a woman, it is best not to forget your necessary
daily primping tools like your hairdryer, comb, brush, shampoo, conditioner,
deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, moisturizer, facial cleanse, pimple
cream, makeup, nail clippers, eyebrow tweezers - whatever it takes to
make you look good! Of course, sometimes it can be nice to forgo all
efforts at beauty on vacation. At least bring the minimum if you will
be snapping pictures. You do want to look something like yourself, don't
you?
Sunscreen is a very important thing to remember to bring. Whether you
are going to the Caribbean or Mount Everest, you will need it! UV rays
are everywhere.
It is always extremely consequential to check the weather of your
intended destination before you pack your clothing. Weather is just
one of the unpredictable elements we have to deal with in life and it
is always best to be as prepared as possible. However, even if the weather
forecast looks like it will be hot and sultry, bring at least a sweatshirt
or light jacket just in case someone goofed at the weather forecast
center or God decided to make a change in the weather.
Some people like to pack lightly, I like to be prepared for every
possible circumstance. There are pros and cons for each way of thinking.
I like to make sure I bring something or two or three to read and do.
I like to bring my music, maybe a few games, etc. Whichever way, just
do not forget the important things I mentioned above.
Last, but certainly not the least, if you are going to an area economically
not as well off as you, bring something for the children or help out
in some way. Most of us who are born in the United States are extremely
blessed and we should share our blessings with those more unfortunate
than we are.
